Belleville Church of God - Phone-In Info

Our "Phone-In Services" are available for those individuals or groups that would like to "tune in" to Sabbath services but do not have access to a computer to listen to "Internet Services".

You can use your telephone to connect to free live conference call and listen to services from anywhere you have access to a telephone.

There are two ways to call in to hear live Net Services on your phone:

If you have a long distance calling plan that allows you to make free unlimited calls, use the number 1-218-486-3850

If you must pay for your long distance calls, use the toll free number, 1 (800) 868-9008

When you are prompted, enter the guest code 2978 and the # key

1. Call:1-218-486-3850 or 1 (800) 868-9008
2

Call in a few minutes before the services are to begin.
When your call is answered you will hear the following recorded announcement :
"Welcome to the Global conference center.
Please enter your PIN code followed by the pound key."

1   2. Enter the Conference Guest Code: 2978
followed by the "#" key
That's all there is to it! When the "Phone-In Services" are over just hang up your telephone to disconnect.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: "Are there any special procedures to use when calling in to the 'Phone-In Services'?"

A: Yes. But they are very simple. (See above for instructions.)

Q: "Will it cost me anything?"

A: Only long distance charges if you are not within the local calling area. The toll free 800 number is free and there are no additional charges to connect to "Phone-In Services".

Q: "Do I need any special equipment?"

A: No. You will only need a standard telephone. You may find it helpful to have a speakerphone to enable you to listen to services without having to hold a "handset" up to your ear for the entire time.

Q: "Will I be heard while listening to services?"

A: No. For every "event" that is broadcast on the "Phone-In Services" telephone system there will be a "moderator". That person will have control over the event and "mute" all of the "guest" lines that are calling in to listen to the broadcast. You can make all the noise you need to and no one will hear anything.

Q: "Can I hang up at any time or do I have to stay on the phone for the entire service?"

A: Yes, you can hang up at any time and no one will hear anything to indicate you have disconnected.

Q: "If I have to hang up and call in again later, is that OK?"

A: Yes, you can call in as many times as you need to and disconnect at your convenience with no disruption to the broadcast at all.

Q: "How is the quality of the broadcast?"

A: We are extremely pleased with the resulting quality of the audio signal experienced during our testing phase of the "Phone-In Services" program. However, this will be dependent on the quality of the audio that is "fed" into the telephone at the site of the event. You will also find there will be an increase or decrease in quality depending on the quality and capabilities of your telephone.

(Note: Periodically you may hear two short tones on your telephone. These tones are a result of the "moderator" carrying out necessary activities during the call. Disregard these tones. They are not an indication of a problem and they will not affect your listening to the services.)

Q: "What if I need more volume to hear the services better?"

A: While the moderator does have some control over the volume it is quite limited. It is recommended that you just adjust the volume of your telephone if you have that capability or purchase a phone that will enable you to hear services better.
